we got maggie

MARGARET AT Three weeks old
PHOTO BY The lovely Amy Jones

My baby is six weeks old today. And she's totally mature.

1. She no longer screams when we bathe her.
2. She understands the importance of a good, long nap (not like those ungrateful toddlers).
3. She loves a good show tune (songs from "Annie" really get her grinning).
4. She smacks her lips together (while simultaneously blinking) to tell me when she's hungry.
5. She obliges her mother who — like any good cliche — is obsessed with staring into her eyes.

This motherhood thing? It gets you right in the heart.

Love the photos!!!! Love her tiny little hand against your chest. She really is beautiful Bri.

We had a great weekend celebrating with you and your family. The food was delicious and your home looked so put together. Her room rocks!
